Conducting our latest Wedding Photography Course with DJ Farah Farz
Had to run away from the storm to conduct today’s lesson. When in doubt, go East!

Alif and Liza are, believe it or not, next block neighbours! Despite residing so close to each other for over 10 years, they never knew each other on a personal level. Whenever they crossed paths, there were only brief exchanges, limited to just hellos and goodbyes along with shy smiles here and there.
Not everyone dare do a photoshoot in winter. The cold obviously didn’t bother Hanafi and Hyda! They got married a couple of days before the trip and invited us for a photoshoot before they began their honeymoon-ing there. We had LOTS of fun having snowball fights and embracing the busy streets of Tokyo. The Japanese are really friendly people. We would go back to Japan for another photoshoot in a heartbeat! Special thanks to Ashly D’Glamz for the make-up and outfits.
Who said red is the colour of love? -Tiffany & Co. We just love it whenever colours of a wedding are well thought of. This wedding was filled with Tiffany Blue and Whites all over. We shot the wedding of Azean, Nysha’s sister a couple of years back. It was really nice seeing past clients a few years later with a baby in their arms! Credits to Versari Ade for the make-up and outfits.
Salleh & Nur have been friends since they were in Secondary School. “It took some time for the stars to align but they eventually did and it was amazing because we had this foundation of friendship and trust to build our love and lives upon.”, said Salleh. He proposed with a room filled with flowers and balloons; each balloon had a picture of a significant moment in our relationship.
This is probably the cutest thing that we have captured! It was a play performed by the students of One World International School. Our videographers couldn’t stop smiling while documenting the whole event. Kudos to the students and teachers for this hilarious performance!
It’s always a pleasure doing a photoshoot for a fellow member of Simplifai Studios! Obrin is the lead videographer of our team since we started doing wedding videography many years ago. Congratulations guys!
It was our first time shooting at these locations. And wow, we were amazed by the relaxed atmosphere at Customs House. You can tell that Afzal and Nuris pay close attention to the finest details. Everything about this wedding is just so beautiful!
Stephen is British and Shahirah Price is British, Malay and Chinese all in one. Shahirah is a model in Singapore represented by Mint Models Singapore. She was also a winner of The New Paper New Face.
We love natural light! This function room in Royal Plaza on Scotts has natural light flowing from all directions. Double thumbs-up! Mahroof and Leena had an unconventional wedding cake circled with macarons. We really had to restrain ourselves while taking photos of it. 😛 We did a short photoshoot session on the beautiful, half-spiral stairs at the lobby right after the wedding.
So, Mizi and Nana were off to Hong Kong for their honeymoon! And they brought a photographer (us) and a make-up artist (Ashly D’Glamz) along for a one-day photoshoot. Hong Kong is a densely populated city. We went to Victoria Peak to get away from the crowd for the day shoot and got right in the middle of the busy streets at night! Loved the mild winter-spring that they have here.
Today, we surpassed 7,000 likes on our Facebook Page. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the business and made it what it is today. I owe so much to the first few clients that I had at the beginning of my career many years back. You guys saw something in me even when I had nothing much to show for. No laptop, no sample albums. Photographers, videographers, make-up artists, models, clients, past clients, family and friends. Love you guys.
Indian Weddings always make us better photographers and videographers. Everything happened so fast during this colourful, emotional ceremony. Relatives attend in bright colours too! More Indian weddings please!
A little while back, our team at Simplifai Studios started drafting out an exciting new programme for our Photography clients. Before we start, a little background story on why we are doing this.
We understand how much everyone love photo filters (like the ones in Instagram). In recent years, we have had clients asking for a specific kind of edit to their photographs (vintage, vibrant, B&W etc.).
This was one of the biggest project that we have done. We were tasked to capture the installation of three MASSIVE fermentation/storage tanks which lasted close to 72 hours! The whole crew of Simplifai Studios were there over these three days working almost in shifts. Using the helicam in gusty winds wasn’t easy!
KZ and Susan are so camera-friendly. It makes our job a little easier! They are smiling and laughing 90% of the time. Sometimes a little too much (hehe). As a Chinese wedding tradition, KZ arrived at Susan’s place in the early morning, brought her to his place and perform the tea ceremony. They then had their solemnisation in a private room at Traders Hotel before heading to the grand ballroom for the wedding reception. What a joyous occasion. You could literally see a smile on everyone’s face!
Ivan is a Hong-Konger and Brynn is Canadian. They both have roots here in Singapore, hence, a destination wedding! Some of the guests flew in just to see them get married! (Aww…) It’s hard to find a wedding venue that beats Equinox, Swissotel. The restaurant has full-sized glass windows that overlooks this beautiful city. We’ve mentioned before how much we love natural light! We were granted access to the rooftop of Swissotel for an hour’s photoshoot. The view up there is just out of this world. It was the tallest hotel in the world when it was built in 1986.
She’s Kazakh, he’s Singaporean. Never have we seen such a diverse, international group of guests. This beautiful, multi-racial wedding was held at Equarius Hotel, Resorts World Sentosa. The Solemnisation was a private ceremony held at the Glass Pavilion while the reception was held in a grand ballroom in the hotel. It was an exciting day for us, seeing the fusion of Kazakh and Indian traditions!
Months of preparations come down to this! Love it when wedding couples pay special attention to these details.
We survived the Mayan Apocalypse! Either that or heaven looks very much like my bedroom.
Our team at Simplifai Studios covered a temple wedding about a week ago. We were so lucky to be working in such a Joyful (pardon the pun) event.
